State of the Fredo Address Volume 4
This is where we're at.
Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a very wonderful Valentine's Day, beginning of your Lenten season, and so on! But, now that that’s behind us, it’s time for another update!
First things first, I want to give a very special thank you to all of you who’ve been sticking around despite my lack of short stories. I know that’s why many of you subscribed in the first place and I know that lately I have come up short. But, the reviews have been doing fairly well. I want to give a special thank you to
for shouting out my Nosferatu review a while back! I’m glad that despite my lack of short stories, the reviews are keeping y’all entertained. To put it simply, the reviews (when I actually do get time to go to the movies) are very easy to make. The new equipment has made making videos in many ways a cinch. It’s just plug-and-play at this point. If you guys want more reviews, perhaps of movies that you can watch at home, let me know. I want to try and churn more out and keep a level of consistency whilst I soldier on through writing the book with .Speaking of which, we have a big update there. The outline is finally DONE. Gio and I have discussed it and he approves (with some minor changes)! The hard part (creating a narrative through line) is over. Now, the real work begins. I have to churn out a draft. That’s the grind portion of the journey. When I outline, it essentially acts as a first draft. I get all of the ideas out before I start to pen the actual meat and potatoes of it all. There is also a completed prologue. It’s very brief but I'd like to give y’all a very small sneak peek. I would also like to thank both Gio and
for shouting me out in the interview they did on Virtual Pulp a while back. By the way Henry, I owe you an apology for not shouting you out in Volume 3. I hope this fixes things. Check the interview out here: https://www.virtualpulp.net/2025/01/09/an-interview-with-infamous/Plus, Gio has written an small preview of the character Safren who will be showing up in Scars. So, check that out here: https://www.virtualpulp.net/2025/03/04/safren-alpha-agogex-by-infamous/
In regards to the Interstellar video, there’s been significant progress. It's probably about 75% complete now. Little filler clips and stuff are still being added as I go and I may do some re-recording of one or two things for the sake of consistency and bridging some gaps. But I am, so far, very proud of the final product. I hope you all enjoy it when it's finished.
Something else I’ve been toying with lately is live streaming. I did a very small test on X and YouTube to see what I can do. I haven’t quite figured out how to make it all work with Substack but I’d like to do that. Perhaps I could do Q&A, game streaming and other things when I get some time. Would y’all be interested in that? If so, let me know. I want to try and keep everybody sated whilst I work on the various projects that need to be completed: particularly Scars.
Now onto the paid content updates. The first “making-of” post is DONE. Of course, as always, we'll be going in order. Real Estate is first. I want to at least film the Lo-Fi Beats read-through before I start work on the second “making-of.” That being said, I do have a few alternate takes of some of the reviews so I'm going to post one of those to complete the first month of paid content. The goal will be new paid content every two weeks. Of course, I want to build a large buffer between what I produce and the time it gets uploaded. That way, I feel less crunched for time and can manage the stuff that I have.
Unfortunately, my day job has really kicked me in the shins lately. So, my schedule to get things done is shot in the foot in a major way. It’s the reason things have been so slow to progress. Any chance that I’ve had to get things done on the creative front are essentially dashed day-to-day at the moment. In turn, my workflow has slowed down to a crawl. For that, I apologize to you all. I want to once again thank you all for your patience with me in trying to get stuff done.
But, have no fear! I am still very much alive and I'm working very hard to make new content for you. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I look forward to presenting the new things on the horizon. Take care and God Bless!

IMO writing the 1st draft is great fun. The editing/rewriting can be...less fun.
It's interesting to see this project taking shape. I can tell Gio is highly motivated to see it come to life.
